Design Digest: A Curated Glimpse into NYC's Collectible Design Week
3 Fairs and a curated list of events I am looking forward to this week.
There are a few moments on the art and design calendar I circle every year, and this week is definitely one of them. Even though it’s what I’d call a “smaller” design week, it’s packed with gems worth seeing. From fresh talent to new gallery shows, there’s plenty to get excited about. I’ll be heading to some events with gallery partners and I will be sharing all of my favorites moments!
Let’s start with The Armory Show:
The Armory Show is New York’s big “art-world kickoff,” in my opinion, a mix of established galleries, fresh talent, and international names all buzzing under one roof, and this will be my first year attending. It’s where the season’s energy really begins, and even though it can feel like a whirlwind, that’s part of the magic. This year I’ll be attending with Berry Campbell, who continues to spotlight thoughtful artists, and I’m excited to share what they’re showing.
Location: Javits Center, New York City
Dates: September 4 – 7, 2025
Next up, Collectible Fair:
COLLECTIBLE is the international fair dedicated to contemporary collectible design, making its New York debut once again. Known in Brussels as the spot for discovering daring, one-of-a-kind design, COLLECTIBLE has built a reputation as the only fair exclusively focused on 21st-century collectible design. I am so excited to view all the international designers this year and emerging studios.
You can get your tickets here and location details are below.
Location: WSA , New York City
Dates: September 4 – 7, 2025
Independent Art Fair:
On my list this week is Independent 20th Century—a fair that shines a spotlight on artists and movements from the 20th century who’ve been overlooked, under-recognized, or deserve a fresh conversation. It’s curated with the same sharp eye as Independent’s contemporary fairs, but with a focus on rediscovery, context, and giving space to voices that shaped (and reshaped) modern art history.
Location: Casa Cipriani at the Battery Maritime Building, New York, NY 10004
Date: September 4 – 7, 2025
Lastly, one of my favorite events this week, Duet at WSA, a brand-new exhibition inaugurating The Mall at 161 Water Street. Curated by Kyle DeWoody and Zoe Lukov, it brings together 11 galleries in a fresh, multi-floor format designed to explore duality, reflections, and partnerships. Expect everything from playful pieces to all celebrating the transformative power of the dynamic duo. You can rsvp free below.
Location: WSA , New York City
Date: September 4 – 8, 2025 12- 7pm
